Owen White Solicitors have recently helped property developer London Square to acquire the old Branston Pickle Factory in Bermondsey, London.
London Square paid £50 million for the site and plans to build 406 high-end apartments, 35% of which will be affordable housing, shops, offices and a gallery.
The site was once home to food company Crosse & Blackwell, which produced Branston Pickle there until 1969. It now comprises nine buildings.
Thames Valley Solicitor
The Thames Valley based solicitors dealt with the acquisition and the planning agreement and, going forwards, will be dealing with the sale of the affordable housing being developed on the site.
Owen White have been working with London Square on the project since summer 2013 and will continue to be involved for many years to come.
Phil Lawrence, director of Owen White said,
‘We are delighted to be involved in this major urban regeneration scheme, which we are sure will be a huge success. We have worked on all projects undertaken by London Square since they were formed in 2010 and have an excellent relationship with them.’
Mark Smith, London Square’s Development Director, said,
‘We value our relationship with Owen White. They are involved in everything we do and we see them as part of our in-house team. They provide clear advice and have an excellent understanding of how to take projects forward.’
Since London Square were formed in 2010, London Square and Owen White have worked on numerous other schemes, the most well-known being the redevelopment of Star & Garter House in Richmond, a major local landmark.
