Owen White has recently donated £600 of training tops to Holmer Green’s Under 10’s football team.
The Club, which has teams catering for boys and girls aged from six to adult, was founded in 1908 and plays its home matches at Watchet Lane, Holmer Green.
The under 10’s team, which has approximately 30 players, plays in the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference (SBMSC) which is affiliated to the Berks and Bucks FA.
Our very own Mike Smith, Associate Director here at Owen White Solicitors said,
‘My sons, Ed and Alex, play for Holmer Green and have done since they were old enough to join. When the club emailed asking for sponsors, naturally I was keen to help. My boys have benefited hugely from being part of the club; from a relatively young age they have had to learn how to be prepared for matches, to take responsibility for their own kit, to play as part of a team, to listen to instruction and to be gracious winners and a gallant losers, all skills that they will value as adults.’
‘The boys and girls are already putting the training tops to great use, wearing them to training sessions and to all their weekend matches and tournaments. They look very smart and, almost as importantly, they are warm and dry!’
Jack Lubbat, coach of the u10’s at Holmer Green FC said,
‘As a coach we are forever grateful to companies like Owen White that sponsor and help promote grassroots football. Their sponsorship helps to make each child feel special, with their own football kit, jackets and equipment. The sponsorship helps our football club to survive and run smoothly which in turn, and most importantly, keeps our children fit, disciplined and above all, off the Xbox!’
Jane Masih, our company and commercial director here at Owen White, said,
‘As a local employer we are delighted to sponsor these training tops for Holmer Green Football Club. We are keen to promote sport and fitness in our local young people; who knows, we could be supporting one of our future employees or possibly even tomorrow’s David Beckham! We wish the club and all their players well.’
